Q: Are you GDPR compliant?
A: We comply with GDPR for our European users.
How we comply:
- You may request your data to be deleted or delivered to you any time.
- We store and manage all data securely and follow best practises. Sign in is directly with the email provider (Office 365 or Gmail) and your password is not seen or stored by Speaking Email CarPlay. Email is downloaded directly from the email provider using their latest APIs over HTTPS. The email data is stored on your device and is encrypted during storage and in transit.
- We request and store only the personal information (PII) that we need to operate your account. This is your name and email address.
- For analytics and error logging we may also include your IP address, geolocation, and fragments of email content which may be immediately proceeding an error which is logged.
What is Speaking Email CarPlay?
An app for iPhone and Apple CarPlay that reads your email out loud to you. It intelligently extracts content from emails (minus the signatures, disclaimers and threads). And it lets you action your email - archive, mark-as-read, trash, flag - using the CarPlay interface controls. It works Office 365 and Gmail email accounts.
Who is it for?
People who are busy and run out of time to get through their inbox. People who want to make productive use of time when driving between appointments.
