Q: Does this app enable safe driving with CarPlay?

A: As a CarPlay audio app, Speaking Email CarPlay is similar to using Spotify or Podcasts. It reads out your emails one by one from your inbox.


Interaction is minimal and entirely optional. You can tap Previous or Next, and tap the CarPlay action buttons to archive, mark-as-read, flag or trash. 


If you are sneakily checking your email in the car, this app provides a much safer alternative!


In terms of driver distraction, anything can be a distraction including talking to passengers, hands free phone calls, kids, and changing music. Some studies suggest that talking with passengers is more of a risk than listening to voice recordings, because preparing to speak has a higher cognitive load than passive listening. Listening to your emails is mostly passive. 


Simply tap Pause if traffic requires your full attention.
